Cevher Group’s Tale of Success with a Deep-rooted History
Our casting adventure that began in a small workshop in Izmir in 1955 under the leadership Technical Teacher Hüseyin Özyavuz has become a major success story, opening up to the world from the Aegean.

Cevher has been established by Technical Teacher Hüseyin Özyavuz in a small workshop in Izmir.
1967
Foundations of the Cevher Döküm factory in Bornova has been laid.
1968
Cevher Casting’s Bornova factory has been opened.
1975
Turkey’s first four-stroke cylinder head and manifold has been manufactured.
1980
Cevher Makine Sanayii A.Ş. (CMS) factory in Pınarbaşı began its operations.
1983
Apprentice School has been opened.
1985
Industry’s first OEM aluminium alloy wheel has been manufactured.
1985
The Aegean’s automotive industry’s first export has been completed and Cevher opened up to the world.
1986
Production of Cevher branded manufacturing machinery has begun.
1990
Engineering and Mold Production Centre has been established.
1995
ISO 9001 Quality Management System certificate was obtained.
1996
Foundations of the Cevher Döküm Çiğli factory has been laid.
1997
Cevher Döküm Çiğli factory began its operations in 2 halls with pressure casting.
1997
Exportation of engine brackets manufactured with the pressure casting method has been started.
1997
QS 9000 Quality Management System certificate was obtained.

GM Supplier of the Year Award was won.

Cevher Tyre and Automotive has been established.

Foundations of the Cevher Alloy Wheels factory has been laid in the Aegean Free Zone.
2003
Cevher Alloy Wheels factory has been opened and production of the first aluminium alloy wheels was completed.

Cevher Döküm Çiğli facility project has been completed and the production area increased to 8 halls.

ISO/TS ISO 9001:2000 certificates were obtained (TÜV Pfalz – Germany)
2004
The moulding room and heat treatment facilities were put into operation at the Cevher Alloy Wheels factory.

Izmir Province Environment and Forestry Directorate “Most Environmental Industrialist” award was won.
2004
Ford Q1 Quality Award was won.
2004
ISO/TS 16949:2002 certificates were obtained (TÜV Pfalz / TÜV Rheinland – Germany).
2005
First delivery of wheels to Volkswagen was completed.
2006
“Co-Designer” approval was gained from Volkswagen.
2008
First deliveries of wheels to Skoda and Audi were completed.
2009
First deliveries of wheels to BMW and PSA were completed.

Volkswagen Group Award was won.
2013
First Place for the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry was won.
2013
First delivery of wheels to Volkswagen Brazil was completed.
2014
Second place for the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Science, Industry, and Technology Efficiency Project Prizes.
2016
Cevher Döküm has been sold to Nemak, one of the industry’s leading suppliers, in order to focus investments more heavily on alloy wheels.
2018
The first step has been taken for the growth strategy by putting a 34.000 sqm factory site in to use in the Izmir Aegean Free Zone.
2018
Cevher Academy has been established and training activities was begun.
2018
Cevher Alloy Wheels Factory has been enlarged and now covers an area of 44.000 sqm.
